We understand the intergenerational harms from colonial policies and systems imposed on our communities which includes residential schools. Sacred Earth decentralizes colonial systems by embodying healing justice as a return to traditional ways of knowing and being that prioritize relationships and wellbeing. Together we can heal.

Sacred Earth will be accepting One Day’s pay donations between September 16th, 2026  to October 8th, 2026.

By donating you can empower an Indigenous-led
Just Transition rooted in healing.

Donations to Sacred Earth are not eligible for charitable tax credit. Sacred Earth is a registered non-profit organization (but not a registered charity).

Indigenous peoples are at the frontlines of climate change perpetuated by ongoing colonialism.

In so-called Canada, Indigenous communities make up 42 percent of wildfire evacuations even though they are only five percent of the population. Imposed laws and regulations, like the Indian Act, exclude many Indigenous communities from regional energy systems. Approximately 178 remote Indigenous and Northern communities are not connected to the North American electricity grid and natural gas infrastructure.

“Colonialism, extractivism, and capitalism cause climate change and social injustice. Indigenous sovereignty, rights, and leadership create key solutions.”
